Setting an appointment for DFA online

Things have become easier these days with the implementation of online appointment system. You need to set an appointment before you visit the DFA Pampanga office to start the processing of your passport. All the passports issued by DFA are known as ePassports or electronic passports. Children below 7 years of age, senior citizens, pregnant women and PWDs do not need an appointment, as they may be attended on the same day.

When and where you can set the appointment

You are required to visit the office between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, except holidays. Earlier, the DFA office of Pampanga was located at Central Terminal, but that is not operational any more. Their new address is:

  • Region 3, Robinsons Starmills Mall, Pampanga, near SM City.

How to set an appointment

All you need is a computer with Internet connectivity, a web browser, a valid email address, PDF reader, and a printer to print out the application form on paper. Follow these step by step instructions to set up an appointment at DFA in Pampanga and Manila:

  • Visit the official site at https://www.passport.gov.ph/
  • Click on the ‘Schedule an Appointment’ link
  • Select the area for which you want to file the application
  • Choose the date and time of appointment that you prefer. Remember to choose either Pampanga or Manila in the "Site" section.
  • Enter your contact and personal details
  • Select the type of appointment you wish to apply for
  • Make your required documents ready

Requirements for new passport applicants

If you are applying for a passport for the first time in Philippines, you will be required to be present at the appointment with the following documents:

  • Photo ID
  • Filled passport application form
  • Birth certificate authenticated by NSO, both photocopy and original
  • Marriage certificate authenticated by NSO, in case a female wants to use her married surname
  • One valid ID issued by the government, both photocopy and original
  • Processing fee, P1200 for immediate processing, and P950 for normal processing

Requirements for renewal of passport

If you already have a passport and you want to renew it in Manila or Pampanga, then you will need to produce the following documents during the DFA appointment:

  • Photo ID
  • Old passport, original, as well as photocopy of the amendment page and page 1, 2 and 3
  • Birth certificate authenticated by NSO, both photocopy and original
  • Marriage certificate authenticated by NSO, in case a female wants to use her married surname
  • Processing fee, P1200 for immediate processing, and P950 for normal processing

What to expect during the appointment

When you visit the DFA office, you will see the number of applicants currently going through the screening. Sit back and wait for your turn. When it is the time for your appointment in Pampanga or Manila, an official will verify your application form and point out any incomplete details or discrepancy. They will also check your required documents. Then, your personal details will be verified, your photo will be captured, your signature will be printed and your finger prints will be scanned. Once the appointment is over, you will get a receipt on which your passport’s release date will be printed. You can collect your passport by bringing this receipt on this date, along with your valid identity proofs.
